The Princess of Wales has reunited with a school boy she’d met earlier this year, at a Christmas carol service she hosted last night.

Kate, 40, was joined by other members of the Royal Family at Westminster Abbey for the second annual Together at Christmas carol service.

As well as her husband Prince William, their two eldest children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, King Charles and his wife Queen Camilla, the Princess also welcomed a youngster she had already crossed paths with on a visit to Wales earlier this year.

Theo Crompton was among the 1,800-strong gathering in the abbey for the concert and was pictured chatting with Kate at the event.

Dressed in a festive burgundy coat dress in her signature A-line shape, the royal bent down to engage with the school boy and other younger members of the congregation.

The four-year-old even got a shout out on the couple’s social media platforms.

Sharing some images of the evening to the official Prince and Princess of Wales Instagram, including a sweet snapshot of Kate and Theo, the royals thanked everyone in attendance for making the occasion so special.

“Thank you to everyone who has helped make #TogetherAtChristmas so special, it was fantastic to celebrate inspiring individuals and outstanding organisations with you all,” the caption read.

“Theo, great to see you again and so glad you could join us tonight!”

The Princess previously met Theo on the royal couple’s first visit to Wales since receiving their new titles following the Queen’s death.

The school boy was among those waiting patiently for hours in Swansea for a glimpse of the Prince and Princess of Wales.

Wearing his school tie and uniform Theo was rewarded with the chance to present a bouquet of pink roses to Kate and also got to meet Prince William.

He was famously pictured grinning from ear to ear as he presented Kate with the bouquet.

His mother, Rebecca Crompton, 35, said of the occasion: “We were actually on the way to school when I changed my mind and decided to bring him down here for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

“And now he has just met the future king. Today’s visit is history. We had to be here.”

Although Kate was at the forefront of the carol service in 2021, this year was particularly poignant as it was the first Christmas since the death of Queen Elizabeth, and the royal’s first event of this scale as a spearhead since becoming the Princess of Wales.

The service will pay tribute to the late Queen and “the values Her Majesty demonstrated throughout her life, including duty, empathy, faith, service, kindness, compassion and support for others.”

The celebratory gathering came after the royal family put on a united front at Westminster Abbey just hours after the final part of the Sussexes’ documentary dropped on Netflix.
